Hey, Scarborough! What’s in your future?

The Eglinton East LRT is more than a transit project, it is Scarborough’s transit corridor connecting people and places on Eglinton Ave, Kingston Road and Morningside. Providing local transit connections, the Eglinton East LRT will build on Scarborough’s strengths, attracting investment and opportunity along the corridor. The LRT will support sustainable, economically vibrant and complete communities along the LRT route along with the opportunity to create an attractive and welcoming public realm.

Work is underway to:

  • Refine the service concept
  • Identify places along the approved route where adjustments to the stops and alignment are needed to ensure consistency and integration with the Eglinton Crosstown trains.
  • Planning work beyond the LRT tracks to meet the wider aims of the transit investment: supporting the development of complete communities
  • Refine the overall alignment and stops and develop an updated cost estimate
